In fact, the Android developer has been using Chrome&#8217;s Custom Tabs feature to tweak the experience. Now, Google is rolling out new features like partial custom tabs and password autofill to make in-app navigation smoother on mobile operating systems.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The partial custom tabs feature gives developers more control over the initial launch height of tabs. For example, you can open a tab in half the screen when a user clicks an article link. This allows the user to interact with the app and the in-app browser at the same time.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" width=\"604\" height=\"1166\" src=\"https:\/\/www.gigas-jp.com\/appnews\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/4\/2023\/02\/image.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-12821\" \/><figcaption>Image Credit : Google<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>They are also rolling out the feature for users to enter passwords and other stored details (such as addresses) without leaving the app. This is useful if your app&#8217;s browser has a login popup.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" width=\"516\" height=\"1094\" src=\"https:\/\/www.gigas-jp.com\/appnews\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/4\/2023\/02\/image.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-12823\" \/><figcaption>Image Credit : Google<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Google is suggesting Chrome custom tabs over WebView, claiming it offers more functionality.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Google said \u201cWhen adding a web experience to your Android app, simply launching a browser from your app forces users to leave your app, with the risk of abandonment for that session.
