Let\u2019s take a look at the following commands.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol><li>cd \u2013 changes the current working directory<\/li><li>pwd \u2013 prints the current working directory<\/li><li>ls \u2013 lists the contents of a directory<\/li><li>mkdir \u2013 creates a new directory<\/li><li>touch \u2013 creates a new empty file<\/li><li>ln \u2013 creates a link to a file or directory<\/li><li>cp \u2013 copies a file or directory<\/li><li>mv \u2013 moves a file or directory<\/li><li>rm \u2013 removes a file or directory<\/li><li>echo \u2013 prints a message to the terminal<\/li><li>less \u2013 views a file with pagination<\/li><li>cat \u2013 displays\/print the contents of a file<\/li><li>grep \u2013 searches for a pattern in a file<\/li><li>head \u2013 displays the first few lines of a file<\/li><li>tail \u2013 displays the last few lines of a file<\/li><li>clear \u2013 clears the terminal screen<\/li><li>uname \u2013 displays information about the system<\/li><li>whoami \u2013 displays the current user<\/li><li>passwd \u2013 changes the password for a user<\/li><li>df \u2013 displays information about disk space on mounted filesystems.<\/li><li>ps \u2013 displays information about running processes<\/li><li>sudo \u2013 allows a user to run a command as a root (superuser)<\/li><li>mount \u2013 mounts a filesystem<\/li><li>chmod \u2013 changes the permissions of a file or directory<\/li><li>chown \u2013 changes the ownership of a file or directory<\/li><li>zip \u2013 compresses files into a zip archive<\/li><li>unzip \u2013 extracts files from a zip archive<\/li><li>tar \u2013 compresses and archive files and directories<\/li><li>kill \u2013 sends a signal to a process to terminate<\/li><li>killall \u2013 terminates all processes by name<\/li><li>apt \u2013 a package manager for Debian-based systems<\/li><li>wget \u2013 downloads a file from internet<\/li><li>whereis \u2013 displays the locations of a command<\/li><li>whatis \u2013 displays a short description of a command<\/li><li>man \u2013 displays the manual page for a command<\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This is all for now.
